Observe animals in the Bochum Zoo At the Zoo & Fossillium, you can observe more than 4,000 animals and more than 300 species. Katta, meerkats and the like swarm around in the nature-orientated facilities and enclosures all year round. Seals, penguins and waders have enriched the "Nordseewelt" (North Sea World) adventure park since 2006. Beside these animals, you can also admire over 400 fossils in the aquarium and terrarium house. Furthermore you will find both native and exotic fish, in addition to the snakes, lizards, monkeys and amphibians in the zoo. The petting zoo rounds off your visit to the zoo.
