At Guttenberg Castle in the Odenwald, you can experience bird of prey shows with eagles, vultures and more. Before or after the show, you have the opportunity to explore the castle's kennels with around 120 birds, exhibitions and sculptures. Around 60 large birds of prey and owls live at Guttenberg Castle. Giant birds such as the black vulture, griffon vulture and bearded vulture, as well as their mighty counterparts such as the white-tailed eagle, golden eagle and imperial eagle, can be marveled at during spectacular flight demonstrations at the German Griffin Observatory at Guttenberg Castle. Flight demonstrations at the griffin observatory During the flight demonstrations, the birds circle over the beautiful Neckar Valley and fly over the heads of the guests. The falconers impart exciting knowledge about the rulers of the skies Tour of the griffin observatory On a tour of the enclosure, visitors also get a close-to-nature insight into the fascinating world of the griffins. Interactive touchscreen stations and two display case exhibitions show selected raptors in typical habitats and various medium and small-sized raptors in Europe.
