You can get very close to almost all native wild animal species and many from the northern latitudes of Asia and America. The stars of the wildlife park are the tigers and bears. The wildlife park is nestled in the charming heathland on the edge of the nature reserve. Young and old alike can spend many unforgettable hours here watching the animals in their natural habitat. Lüneburg Heath Wildlife ParkWith over 1200 animals and around 140 different species, Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park is the most species-rich animal park in the north. It is easily accessible not far from the A7 in the picturesque heath village of Nindorf, which belongs to Hanstedt. It is about 10 minutes from the highway to the zoo's numerous free parking lots. With the handcart through the zooAt the ticket office you can borrow a handcart for the children. Then it's off through the hilly terrain on the beautiful circular route. The enclosures, some of which are very spacious, are set in an attractive landscape. In this leisure park you can discover very special animals such as snow leopards, brown bears, coatis, wolves, moose, lynx, reindeer, wapitis, arctic foxes, wild cats, raccoons, poitou donkeys and prairie dogs. Restaurants and kiosks for the hungryA great day out for the whole family! Incidentally, there is also a restaurant in the zoo and numerous small kiosks for snacks in between. Children aged 2-8 years are particularly enthusiastic about Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park because you can get very close to the animals. A literal extra highlight is the directly adjacent Heide Himmel - Northern Germany's highest treetop walk with a panoramic plateau. The birds of prey fly so close over your heads that you sometimes even have to duck. Michael Kirchner and his team will inspire you with their stories about the birds. Two of the three wolf packs play a role in this lecture; the gray wolves, the European representatives of the species and the polar wolves. Tanja Askani talks about her life with the wolves, how they are reared, how they live together and the adventures she has had with them.
