Welcome to the Rose Zoo! This popular excursion destination is located in the middle of the beautiful and dreamlike nature of northern Hesse. Experience the beauty of nature and marvel at the colorful mixture of domestic animals, smaller exotic animals and some animals from the feathered world. There are llamas, nandus, monkeys (in a brand new enclosure), a Bennett's kangaroo, baboons, raccoon dogs, porcupines, sheep, goats, donkeys, ponies, pheasants, chickens and ducks. Relaxing hours - in summer on the outdoor seating area, in winter in front of the fireplace. The privately run zoo is open 365 days a year! Hungry after a visit to the zoo? The adjoining restaurant serves home-style cooking.
