Welcome to
Finsterwalde’s wildlife park is located on the edge of the Bürgerheide Park, the “Singers’ Town’s” extensive local recreation area. It was opened in 1969 as a recreation area for the residents of Finsterwalde. The wildlife park is home to around 250 animals of 55 different species and breeds from all 5 continents and the most diverse habitats of our earth on its 7.5 hectares of mostly wooded grounds. In addition to white-handed gibbons and banded mongoose, visitors to the wildlife park might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Hermann’s tortoise, dingos or Eastern rosellas. It is the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon learning about the different species and having contact with local and exotic animals, not forgetting the play facilities for toddlers.
For your physical well-being, the "Café am Schwanenteich" is available all year round.
