Animal park with the largest group of chimpanzees in Germany, a near-natural park design and a large domestic animal area. In a spacious enclosure, you can experience the largest contiguous group of chimpanzees in Germany with 34 animals. Other ape species such as agile gibbons, intelligent capuchins and colorful mandrills are also at home in the Leintal Zoo. For feathered friends, there is a walk-in flight aviary with red ibises as well as parrots and free-range peacocks and chickens. The little ones will enjoy the pet area with ponies, dwarf goats, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits and can let off steam in the large adventure playground. Great importance was attached to the natural design of the park. Bird sanctuaries, meadows, ponds and wetland biotopes with an abundance of plants allow observant visitors to spot butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, lizards and rare birds along the way. On the nature trail, you can learn about the biotopes and observe the underwater life of a pond through a window.
