Animal parks in Saarland
Wildlife enclosure
Take a leisurely stroll and discover the local wildlife up close and personal
Saarbrücken Wildlife Park has been open to visitors since 1929 and brings them closer to the local animal world. Over 20 animal species have found a home in the 17-hectare St. Johann Wildlife Park. The philosophy of the wildlife park is based on species-appropriate enclosure management adapted to the animals' natural way of life and has been implemented excellently.
Wildlife in every form
Whether wild boar, bison, mouflon or northern fox, native and indigenous animals are waiting to be discovered. Pheasants present their colorful splendor and rabbits hop happily across the meadows.
But not only animals are looking forward to your visit. A geology trail shows the most important types of stone from different geological eras and continents. A well-maintained playground made of natural wood with animal motifs and a variety of climbing options invites children of all ages to play.
The Eagle Owl Pavilion (daily, 11 am - 7 pm) offers a wide range of food and drinks.
The Wildpark Academy organizes a wide range of activities for children and youth groups as well as for companies and families, e.g. children's birthday parties. For more information, please contact: info@wildpark-akademie.de or visit www.wildpark-akademie.de.
