Neumünster Zoo provides an animal-friendly home for over 700 animals, around eighty-five different species, on 24 hectares of woodland. Visitors can experience our motto "nature experience - deceleration" at first hand. The paths suitable for wheelchairs and the shady old trees invite you to take carefree walks between the spacious animal enclosures. Our visitors can experience our motto "nature experience - deceleration" at first hand. Marvel at Germany's largest polar bear "Vitus", who can be observed directly at the underwater window. Visitors can measure themselves against our white giant on an impressive display board on the underwater screen. Standing upright, Vitus has a remarkable height of 3.60 m, making him one of the largest polar bears in Europe. The paths suitable for wheelchairs and the shady old trees invite you to take carefree walks between the spacious animal enclosures. On the large adventure playground, children can really let off steam on a wide range of age-appropriate play equipment. But there are also exciting interactive elements throughout the park area that bring visitors young and old closer to our animals in a playful way. There are also various barbecue areas available to our visitors by prior arrangement. Your very special moments, such as children's birthday parties, can be experienced here in an animal ambience and, if desired, with direct animal contact. We look forward to your visit.
