Welcome to
The Fürstenwalde zoo is home to around 330 animals of 80 different species and offers fascinating insights into the local and exotic animal kingdom. European species such as bison, red deer, fallow deer and mouflon as well as foxes and lynxes characterize the zoo. The diversity is complemented by exotic animals such as Bennett's kangaroos, marmosets and dwarf otters. A special highlight is the impressive collection of birds of prey and owls, including majestic species such as golden eagles, sea eagles and steppe eagles as well as the smallest native owl, the little owl.
The petting zoo with sheep and goats offers a special experience for children, while a snack bar with adjoining playground invites them to relax. The zoo school and environmental meeting place organizes curriculum-related teaching units for pupils in grades 1 to 13. For organizational reasons, group visits require registration at least three working days before the planned date.
