In the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, just 20 minutes from Kiel, lies an unusual animal park, the Warder Ark. Here you can see farm animals that accompanied and fed people for centuries. Today, they have largely disappeared from farmers' livestock.
In the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, just 20 minutes from Kiel, lies an unusual animal park, the Warder Ark. Here you can see farm animals that accompanied and fed people for centuries. Today, they have largely disappeared from farmers' livestock. The Warder Ark aims to save the rare breeds, i.e. to breed them, preserve them and spread them again. What makes the Arche Warder so special is the diversity of rare breeds of farm animals, some of which are rarer than pandas and tigers. In the summer vacation offer for children "Once be an animal keeper" the little ones take over the various tasks around the animal care. After the animal care in the morning, there is campfire and stick bread and play and climbing time on the "play ark". In the afternoon, play and craft workshops (felting, spinning and archery) are on the agenda. Guided pony rides will conclude the day.
